Here is my elevator pitch for the newly named venture, ICleanup. Make yourself look like the most hire-able person on the Internet!

Apologies for the awkwardness of this video:

  1. Love this idea. I always find weird things that my High School and Middle School posted online when I google my name. Also, I always worry about my appearance via social media, so I think this is a great idea. There are ways to clean your online presence especially for those who have been arrested and have mugshots. these services I'm aware are very expensive, so hopefully your service can be more affordable since your target market is most likely college students.

  3. This is a great idea that I think a lot of people will be able to use if the current trend of using social media to judge job candidates continues. Just earlier this spring, a senior in one organization I am in asked someone to do this for him, and personally I have tried (and gave up after repetitiveness) of trying to clear my old tweets before to save myself some time in the future when I am applying for jobs. I would definitely be interested in this product and think that others would too, and would probably be willing to pay a lot for the service since its very much worth it for a future career.

  4. Hi Sarah! This is a great idea especially since social media plays such a huge role in society that business have no problem stating that they look at potential employees to make or break that hire. Its not fair to the extent that people make mistakes and that your social media is not work related however employers use it to see what kind of person you are. I think having someone clean this up would be a great idea since no one wants to get denied a job because of a less than professional social media post.

  5. Sarah,
I want to look my “internet best” all the time. I have never thought about Googling myself and didn’t realize that this was something that is done so often. I do think having old accounts and old information being deleted is a great idea since people are unable to keep up with everything they have. I thought your pitch was very thorough while keeping in short and simple. This is a very interesting idea and I am looking forward to see how this plays out.

  6. Hi Sarah, I think your idea is really great and useful for this day and age with the internet and other technologies evolving so quickly. I would definitely be interested in using your invention. I bet a lot of people don't realize how important it is to keep your internet profile clean and professional. I think you did a good job in your elevator pitch and got your ideas across very well.
